VenueThe Claude Bloch lecture hall (building 772 – SPhT) is located on the Orme des Merisiers site, which is an annex of the CEA, on the D128 road, 100 m from the Saint-Aubin roundabout with the N306. This roundabout also provides access to the Soleil synchrotron (see map below). To reach l’Orme des Merisiers: By public transport: From Paris or the airports, take the RER B towards Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse. Then:
The entrance to l’Orme des Merisiers is right in front of the bus stop. Access to Saclay and l’Orme by roadBy car From the west (Pont de Sèvres): take the N118 towards Bordeaux (for about 14 km) and exit following the direction Saclay to immediately reach the Christ de Saclay roundabout. From the south (Porte d’Orléans or Porte d’Italie): take the A6 (for about 10 km), then continue on the A10 towards Palaiseau (for about 7 km). Leave the motorway via the left-hand exit, following the direction Centre Universitaire – Saclay, and take the D36 to the Christ de Saclay roundabout (about 7 km). Once at the Christ de Saclay roundabout, take the N306 towards Gif-sur-Yvette. At the second roundabout, turn left towards CEA Orme des Merisiers via the D128. The main entrance is 200 m further on the right. At the entrance to CEA Orme des Merisiers, drive straight for about 600 m, then turn right and park in the parking lot—you will be in front of the entrance to the IPhT and the Claude Bloch lecture hall (building 772). |
